Apple’s multi-device wireless charging patent approved

Recently, Apple’s “wireless charging system with multiple power receiving devices” patent was authorized. The abstract shows that the invention is titled “Wireless Charging System with Multiple Power Receiving Devices”. The present invention discloses a wireless charging system, which can include a wireless power transmission device that accommodates a plurality of wireless power receiving devices.

Moreover, the primary power receiving device used to display the battery state of charge information of the other power receiving devices on the power transmitting device may be referred to as the primary device. The other wireless power receiving devices may be referred to as paired devices.

Furthermore, when a paired device is added to a wireless power transfer device that already has a master device, the master device can verify that the paired device is on the same pad as the master device. Then, the master device and the paired device may output user notifications synchronously.

When a paired device exists on the wireless power transfer device, the paired device may send battery charge state information to the wireless power transfer device at predetermined intervals. It is reported that in 2017, Apple announced the wireless charging accessory AirPower, but it was stopped in 2019.
