League of Legends mobile professional league WRL1 will officially begin on March 19

According to the latest report, the League of Legends Mobile Games” global e-sports event “Dawn Cup” will debut in 2021. At the same time, the League of Legends mobile game eSports announced its first official global event, the Wild Rift Icons Global Championship. Icons will be held in Europe this summer.

It is officially announced that the first WRL1 League of Legends mobile game professional league will officially start at 17:00 on March 19.

  • The first stage of the regular season adopts a single-round BO3 format, and groups are divided according to the results of the points.

  • The second stage of the regular season adopts the single round-robin BO3 format within the group, and the top 4 in the championship group directly advance to the playoffs

  • The 5th and 6th place in the championship group and the 1st and 2nd place in the breakout group will have a BO5 duel. The winner will advance to the playoffs with the 5th and 6th place in the regular season.

  • The playoffs consist of a best-of-three match-up with a BO7

  • In the final, the first WRL champion will be decided in a single BO7

  • A total of 4 teams have a chance to enter the ICONS World Championship! The WRL1 champion team will go directly to ICONS; the runner-up team and the other two qualifying teams will be seeded into the ICONS play-in round

  • The first stage of the regular season: March 19-April 10

Moreover, the first day of the WRL1 opener will be played by FPX against TT, JT against KBG, and EDG against RNG.

Furthermore, this year there are 8 regions, and the competition system will start with regional competitions that last from January to May.

The winning teams will gather in the Icons Global Championship of the League of Legends mobile game to be held in Europe in the summer of 2022.

Besides, twenty-four teams will participate in this event, eight of which will be promoted directly from regional events, and the remaining sixteen teams will compete against each other in the play-in.

After the play-in stage, the teams will enter the group stage and knockout stage and finally compete for the championship title in the final.
