Production of the iPhone 13 at the Chennai factory was supposed to start in January this year, but Apple delayed production after a female worker at the factory protested against food poisoning in December last year. It restarted the production line in February and is expected to start production of the iPhone 13 in April.

Moreover, Apple will ship 5.4 million iPhones in India in 2021. The most popular iPhone is the iPhone 12 (40% share), followed by the iPhone 11 ( share 40%), and the iPhone SE 2 020 (14% share), while the latest flagship iPhone 13 (13% share) and iPhone 13 Pro Max (4% share) are fourth and fifth.
