The Messages app allows you to send text messages as SMS and MMS messages through your cellular service to your contacts. It also helps you to send photos, videos, and audio messages using iMessage or your SMS/MMS service. It also allows you to add camera effects when you take a photo or video in a Messages conversation. What is the Message app?

The Message app is an instant messaging service developed by Apple Inc. to send text messages over cellular service to people available on your contact list. You can send photos, videos, and other info to your contacts. You can also personalize your messages with animated effects, Memoji stickers, iMessage apps, and more.

How to add camera effects to a photo or video in messages:

Step 1: In a Messages conversation, tap the Camera button, then choose Photo or Video mode.

Step 2: Tap the Effects button, then do any of the following:

    • Tap the Memoji button, then choose a Memoji (on supported models).
    • Tap the Filters button, then choose a filter to apply to your picture.
    • Tap the Text button to add a text label, or the Shapes button to add a shape.
    • Tap the Memoji Stickers button to add a Memoji sticker, or the Emoji button to add an Emoji sticker.

Step 3: Tap the Close button to close the effect window.

Step 4: Tap the Take Picture button to take a photo or the Record Video button to record the video.

Step 5: Tap Done to add the photo or video to the message bubble, where you can add a message, or tap the Send button to send the photo or video directly.
