“Find My” is an app and service provided by Apple Inc. This feature allows you to connect your iOS devices so that you can find them in case they got lost.
The Find My app combines Find My iPhone and Find My Friends into a single app in the latest versions of iOS, iPad, and macOS.
So now the Find My app also allows sharing your location with friends, family, and contacts from your iOS devices and you can also locate them. To share your location you have to make sure that Share My Location is turned on.
Use the Find My app to get a notification when your friend’s location changes. You can get notified when a friend arrives at a location, leaves a location, or is not at a location.
How to Get notified when your friend arrives at or leaves a location:
Step1: Open Find My.
Step2: Tap People at the bottom of the screen, then tap the name of the person you want to be notified about.
Step3: Under Notifications, tap Add, then tap Notify Me.
Step4: Choose whether you want to be notified when a friend arrives at or leaves a location.
Step5: Choose a location, or tap New Location to create a new location and set a location radius.
(With a larger radius, you’re notified when your friend is near the location instead of right at the location.)
Step6: Choose whether you want to be notified only once or every time.
Step7: Tap Add, then tap OK.
(Your friend gets an alert after you set the notification.)
