OnePlus 8 series Tip: How to update your device? [OxygenOS 11]

OnePlus is currently launching the latest public beta version of OxygenOS 11 based on Android 11 for OnePlus 8 and 8T series smartphones.

The company earlier released Open Beta 9 for OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro, and at the same time released Open Beta 4 for OnePlus 8T.

As per the latest info, the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro is now getting a new update which is Open Beta 10, while the OnePlus 8T is getting Open Beta beta 5.

With these updates, the company’s fixing various bugs in the latest OS and bringing new features to the devices.

So that when the stable OxygenOS will roll out, there will be no issues in the overall UI while doing stuff in OnePlus 8 devices.

How to update your device?

Before updating make sure you:

  • Back up your data before update.
  • There is enough battery and if not charge your device when you update your device to the latest version.

If you are part of this update program and struggles to update your OnePlus 8 series phones, head over to Settings > System > System Update, and if you find a pending update, download and install it right away.

Update Software Build Manually

  • Download the updated software build from the OnePlus official page.
  • For Android 10, Go to [settings] – [system] – [system updates].
  • Click the settings icon in the top right corner, click on [Local upgrade], find the .zip file, and click on [Install] to confirm.
  • It takes about one minute (depending upon the file size) to update. Once done reboot your device to boot into the latest Oxygen OS.
