However, because there is no graphical interface, the process of resetting settings to default values is not as simple as clicking a button. However, it is easy to do so. This is the same step-by-step guide.

Reset Windows Terminal to factory settings:

Step 1:Open the Windows terminal on the computer. To do this, open the “Start” menu and search for “Windows Terminal”, then click on the application from the search results.

Step 2: Now, in the Windows Terminal application, click on the down-arrow and then select the “Settings” option.

Step 3:It will prompt you to select an application to open the “Settings” file. Here, select “Notepad”, and then click the “OK” button.

Step 4: After the setting file is opened, please delete all the contents that already exist in it. Now, save the empty settings file by pressing the CTRL + S keys on the keyboard.

Step 5: Now exit the Windows Terminal application, and then reopen it. Since the “settings” file is now empty, it will create a new file with default values.
