Unable to enable password manager. By default, most devices that insist on using Chrome Password Manager or iCloud Kitchen default to Android and iOS respectively. However, there are many powerful third-party options. Among them, Dashlane and Bitwarden GT are both at the top of the recommendations. CROSS-PLATFORM AVAILABILITY
Although Apple product users like the iCloud kitchen solution the most, Windows and Android do not provide this solution.

Bitword covers all possible platforms and browsers you might think of. It is available on iOS and Android; it has native desktop applications on Windows, macOS, and Linux; and it is integrated with all major browsers, including Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge.
Dashlane is not behind. The software can be used on Android, iOS, Windows, and Mac.
USER INTERFACE
Both Dashlane and Bitword use standard macOS menus for navigation. We like Dashlane’s method because it has a better translucent effect on the sidebar. For modern macOS designs, this is perfectly possible.
We found Bitwarden to be a bit on the safer side. It uses a standard white theme with black text across UI. For the fans of the Dark theme, the app supports that as well.
ADDING A NEW ITEM
Click the “+” button at the bottom, and you can add new items to Bitword. The new item types are limited to login name, card, identity, and security notes. In contrast, Dashlane provides business, career, shopping, social media, technology, and more.
On Dashlane, you can create profiles to auto-fill forms and make payments. There is also a separate tab to save a digital copy of your important documents and receipts of purchases that you make online.
BitWorden follows the folder model. You must manually organize another password entry. You can also add TOTP (time-based one-time password) and related notes, such as security questions, date of birth, etc.
SECURITY AND BACKUP
Dashlane will review the strength of the password and can generate complex random passwords by clicking a button. You can check the overall identity security strength on the Identity Dashboard and Password Health platforms.
Dashlane also offers other security features, including paid VPN, identity theft protection, and dark web monitoring in paid plans. Obtaining a VPN alone will cost more, but may provide other features.
With BitWorden, all your data is fully encrypted before leaving the device. Only you can access it. Even if they want, Bitwarden’s team cannot read your data. Your data has been sealed with end-to-end AES-256-bit encryption.
As for Backup, Bitwarden stores all the user data on the Microsoft Azure Cloud platform.
OTHER FEATURES
We like Dashlane’s audio report. It is one of the most reliable and comprehensive reports of all password managers.
A rigorous evaluation system can not only detect weakly and repeated passwords but also scan Dark Web to see if your email address or other online accounts have been exposed.
Bitwarden is full of useful functions as well. The list of features includes encrypted file attachments, security audit reports, two-factor authentication, user groups, shared items, and more.
PRICING
Bitwarden has already paid for it, but we think that most people can not use all the features they provide. “Payment” provides you with reports on encrypted file attachments, more second-factor security options, and the overall security of the passwords used.
Bitwarden only costs $10 per year. That is way cheaper than the competition out there. The family plan is set at $3.33 per month.
Dashlane plans are slightly on the expensive side at $3.33 per month, but they offer a VPN. The Family plan is $5 per month per user.
SECURE YOUR ONLINE IDENTITY
Using enabled password managers (such as Dashlane and BitWorden) can ease the pain of remembering hundreds of login information in dozens of applications and services. Dashlane’s UI is better, and the audit report is one of the best reports we have seen. BitWorden is open source, available everywhere, and cheaper than competitors.
