Apple announced AirTag tracker with IP67 protection

Apple held a spring new product launch early this morning and released the AirTag tracker, which is a Bluetooth tracking device similar to Tile, designed to be attached to keys and wallets for tracking. Users can Find items in the “Find My” app.

Apple officially announced that the AirTag tracker supports IP67 dust and water resistance, and can be used for up to 30 minutes at a depth of 1 meter underwater.

In addition, the AirTag tracker uses a  CR2032 button battery. With the advantage of low power consumption and encrypted Bluetooth, it is officially claimed that it can last for up to one year. The official has also released a demonstration diagram of battery replacement, and users can purchase batteries to replace them.

Besides, the AirTag tracker will be available for pre-order at 8 pm on April 23 and will be on sale on April 30. The domestic price of a single piece is 229 yuan, and a four-piece is 779 yuan.

In addition, Apple also launched the AirTag Hermès customized series with Hermès, including a key chain priced at 2,599 yuan, a bag ornament at 2,199 yuan, and a luggage tag at 3,299 yuan.
