Xiaomi increased the price of some TV models due to epidemic

Earlier this month, Xiaomi TV announced that due to changes in global market supply and demand, epidemics, and exchange rate changes, the prices of a variety of TV core components including display panels and chips have continued to fluctuate sharply recently. The price of core components will continue to rise for a long time in the future.

At present, the price of the Redmi MAX 86-inch has risen to 9,999 yuan, an increase of 2,000 yuan compared to the 7,999 yuan offer price. The price trend of the most popular App shows that the Redmi MAX 86-inch TV in Xiaomi Jingdong’s self-operated flagship store has experienced two price increases from 7,999 yuan to 8,888 yuan on April 9th, and then to 9,999 yuan on April 16th.

Moreover, the Redmi MAX 86-inch smart TV was first launched on March 4, using an 86-inch 120Hz high-brush full screen, supporting 120Hz MEMC hardware-level motion compensation, and equipped with a multi-zone backlight system.

On March 16, Lu Weibing, vice president of Xiaomi Group, president of China, and general manager of Redmi Redmi brand, said that the sales of Redmi MAX 86-inch exceeded 12,000 units, surpassing the total sales of the same size in the same industry in 2020.

On April 8, Xiaomi TV announced that due to the large fluctuations in raw material costs, Xiaomi will make corresponding adjustments to the official recommended retail prices of some Xiaomi TV models and some Redmi TV product models, but will try to ensure cost-effectiveness.
