He Gang, president of Huawei’s consumer business mobile phone product line, issued a promotional picture on Weibo, announcing that the Huawei Mate40 RS Porsche Design Edition has added an 8+256GB version, and Huawei’s new 5G phone Mate40E was launched simultaneously.
The device is scheduled to go on sale at 10:08 on March 18th. It is available in ceramic white and ceramic black. The current Mate40 RS Porsche design is available in 12+256GB and 12+512GB capacities.
The prices are 11,999 yuan and 12,999 respectively. There is also a Collector’s Edition model priced at 13,999 yuan. Compared with the 12,999 yuan model, an infrared temperature sensor is added.
It also comes with a leather smart window cover and Huawei super-fast charging car charger (66 watts). The Huawei Mate 40 RS Porsche Design Edition utilizes a 6.76-inch 88-degree super curved screen, double-hole full screen, supports 90Hz high refresh rate, DCI-P3 color gamut, screen fingerprint recognition, and IP68 waterproof dust-proof.
It is equipped with a Kirin 9000 processor, including a 3.13GHz A77 core, three 2.54GHz A77 middle cores, four 2.04GHz A55 small cores, and a 24-core Mali-G78 GPU. The device supports 66W wired super-fast charging, 50W wireless super-fast charging, and reverse wireless charging.
By looking at the lenses, the Huawei Mate 40 RS Porsche Design Edition is equipped with an 8-megapixel 10X periscope, a 50-megapixel super-sensitive lens, a ToF lens, a temperature measuring lens, a 12-megapixel 3X optical variable lens, and a 20-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens.
Huawei declared that the infrared temperature sensor equipped with the Collector Edition can detect temperatures of minus 20-100-degreeC. Along with this, owners of Mate 40/Pro/RS Porsche Design all enjoy exclusive service rights, including exclusive backup service, door-to-door service, broken screen service, extended service, and Porsche design exclusive services.
Huawei stated that its exclusive Porsche Design service will provide the store manager with personal reception, exclusive access to the store to line up, and an opportunity to replace the back cover free of charge.
