The developer FacepunchStudios declared that the main console version of ‘RUST’ will be launched on PS 4 and Xbox One this spring and is currently in closed beta.
‘RUST’ is a very popular survival game on Steam. Players require to avoid animals and other players to survive, build shelters and kill animals to get food. In addition, for long-term survival, players also need to establish alliances and form towns.
The game was first launched in 2013, and sales exceeded 9 million copies by the end of 2019. In January this year, ‘RUST’ won the Steam Weekly Sales Chart three consecutive times.
In February of this year, Facepunch Studio added a new ‘softcore mode’ to the casual player community in ‘Rust’ to attract more players. This move is probably because a group of high-profile anchors recently played the game together on a private server, making this already popular survival game so popular.
It is unclear whether the main console version will be completely optimized for Xbox or PS, but players can expect the main console version to have a better experience.
