Sony declared that the current ‘Suoya Music Rights Company’ will be officially renamed ‘Sony Music Distribution Company’. Along with this, to celebrate the name ‘Sony Music Distribution Company’ after returning after 25 years, Sony released a new brand with a new design logo and revitalization mission.

Sony/ATV was established in 1995 as a joint venture with Michael Jackson, combining the original Sony Music Distribution Company with Michael Jackson’s ATV music.
The original ATV Music Company was acquired by Michael Jackson in 1985. The company owns Northern Songs. Northern Songs owns John Lennon (John Lennon) and Paul McCartney (Paul McCartney) during the Beatles period. Copyright of all songs created.
In 2016, Sony acquired a 50% stake in Soya Music Copyright held by the Michael Jackson Heritage Management Committee, making it a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sony.
