Nvidia requires notebook manufacturers to disclose specific information about the power and frequency

Nvidia canceled the specific division of Max-Q and Max-P for RTX 30 series mobile graphics cards, instead stipulating a power range, and the producer independently determines the TGP power consumption limit.

However, since the power limit of the same GPU can differ by 70W, users cannot judge the actual performance based on the graphics card model alone.

As per the news, Nvidia is now beginning to make clear requirements not just suggesting notebook producers indicate the specific frequency and TGP power of the RTX 30 series graphics card on its official website .

This can prevent producers from using limited-power graphics cards to deceive consumers, and achieve a high degree of information transparency.

Nvidia’s RTX 30 series mobile graphics cards are furnished with the third-generation MAX-Q technology, Dynamic Boost 2.0, WhisperMode 2.0, and other technologies that can intelligently optimize the performance/power consumption of the gaming laptop and automatically balance the GPU, GPU memory, and CPU.

It also provides the required power while reducing the power consumption during the period, greatly improving the operating efficiency of the notebook computer. AI artificial intelligence is also used to quickly adjust GPU power frame by frame, which can ensure the full performance of games and design purposes.

ASUS was the first to announce the graphics card specification table of its gaming notebooks, showing a variety of graphics card power configurations. Take RTX 3060 as an example, its minimum specification frequency is 1525MHZ, TGP 80W. the highest specification default frequency is 1802MHz, TGP 115W, and dynamic acceleration power can reach 130W.
