According to the news, Microsoft announced on Wednesday that it fully supports proposed legislation in Australia. This bill will force Google and Facebook to pay Australian media organizations for the content they use.

Microsoft stated in a statement: ‘Although Microsoft is not subject to the legislation currently under review if the government designates us to comply including the new regulations, we are willing to operate in accordance with these rules.’

Google and Facebook have publicly stated that Australia’s new legislation is not feasible. If the government continues to advance this legislation, they will withdraw key services like search from Australia.
