Verizon OnePlus 8 5G UW receiving Android 11-based OxygenOS 11 firmware update

OnePlus has already delivered the OxygenOS 11 firmware update based on Android 11 to its OnePlus 8 series flagship. Now, after a long wait, Verizon-bound OnePlus 8 5G UW devices have begun to receive this major update in the United States.

As per the information, Verizon has begun to send Android 11 updates for OnePlus 8 5G UW smartphones. OnePlus 8 5G consumers restricted by Verizon can immediately check for updates to download and install new firmware.

T-Mobile is also rolling out the Android 11-based OxygenOS 11 update to the OnePlus 8 5G. It brings the OxygenOS 11.0.1.1.IN55CB and comes with the following changelog:

Upgraded to Android 11 OS
Android security patch upgraded to December 2020
General improvements and fixes
You can also check for the latest software update manually by heading to device Settings > System > System Updates.

In addition to the features of Android 11, OnePlus’ OxygenOS 11 also provides some advanced features, such as a new visual design, a refreshed user interface, added game tools, and anti-inadvertent touch features.

Moreover, it also has improved dark mode and Zen mode and numerous improvements to its software system.
