Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro may come with 67W wireless fast charging technology

As we know, Xiaomi officially released Mi 11, which is the first smartphone powered by the Snapdragon 888 chipset. At the same time, new clues indicate that the company is developing at least two mobile phones that support 67W wireless charging.

Well, so far, we are not sure if Mi 11 Pro is one of these two devices, but it turns out that it is. In addition, it is hard to imagine that Xiaomi’s advanced Pro models will not use the company’s fastest wireless charging technology to date.

In the recent MIUI 12.5 beta version, XDA Member found a new string array named “keyguard_wireless_strong_charge_67w”, which contains two items, such as star and mars. The model name of “Stellar” ends in K1, while the model name of Mars ends in K1A. This shows that the two devices are related, and maybe one is a regional variant of the other.

In addition, they also suspect that at least the “star” model will be equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888 mobile platform because it appears in the constant named “s8350” and is associated with “Venus” (codename of Mi 11)) and ” Cetus” (the codename for Xiaomi’s upcoming foldable smartphone) appeared side by side.

Some previous reports also indicate that Xiaomi’s new flagship machine is testing 80W wireless charging, which may be the upcoming Mi 11 Pro. We don’t know if it is ready for mass production, but Xiaomi is indeed testing 80W wireless charging.

Since there is no evidence that future Xiaomi phones will use 80W wireless charging technology, the company may still not be ready to equip smartphones for this.

In order to control heat generation, Xiaomi may intentionally limit the maximum power to 67W instead of 80W. Although there is ample evidence that the company will use 67W wireless charging in future products, they even went ahead and prepared a logo for it.

Similarly, there is no indication that Mi 11 Pro will support 67W wireless charging, but we will know the truth soon. Because there is a leak indicating that Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro will be released on February 12.
