Redmi K40 Pro is equipped with Snapdragon 888, K40 will be furnished with an unreleased sub-flagship chip

Redmi will release at least two new K40 series at the press conference next month, including the Redmi K40 Pro priced at 2999 yuan and the undisclosed price Redmi K40.

The former has been confirmed to be furnished with Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 888 chip, while the basic version of K40 will be furnished with an unreleased sub-flagship chip. Whether it will be launched for the first time is unknown.

The 2999 yuan Redmi K40 Pro is furnished with Snapdragon 888, and the K40 is equipped with an unreleased sub-flagship chip.

Redmi product director Wang Teng also said that the Redmi k40 series will provide more than one Snapdragon 888 version

The news that in addition to the Snapdragon 888 version, the Redmi K40 series will also provide a version of the MediaTek MT689x chip, which does not rule out the possibility that this version is the basic version of K40.

Combined with the previous news of MediaTek’s new products, the Density 1200 chip, and Dimensity 1100 chip will be launched in the first quarter of this year. It is reasonable to speculate that it may be January 20. According to previous reports, Density 1200 will be the first 6nm high-performance chip.

Its official data theoretical performance can reach the performance level of ordinary Snapdragon 865, natively supports 160Hz + refresh rate, supports dual SA 5G networking, and ISP supports up to 200MP± Lens.

A chip with the model number mt6893 has appeared in the GeekBench database. The single-core running score is 886 points, and the multi-core running score is 2948 points.

For comparison, the OnePlus 8 furnished with Snapdragon 865 is the same as GeekBench. The platform single-core run is scored 886 points, and the multi-core run is scored 3104 points.

The postscript ‘Redmi is ready to go’ does not rule out the possibility that the mt6893 chip is the chip used in the aforementioned K40.

Another mid-to-high-end chip Dimensity 1100 is Density 1200 (mt6893) down-converted peripheral version, with a slightly lower main frequency, supports UFS 3.1 and LPDDR4x, supports FHD+144Hz, and ISP supports up to 108MP± lenses.

Finally, Lu Weibing also released a chart of the Redmi K40 series model’s battery life yesterday, which was more exaggerated. Do not rule out the possibility that it is the normal version of K40.
