Latest BYD Tang announcement: Super Hybrid Endurance 1050km with Special blade battery

In the latest issue of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, we have obtained a set of BYD Tang DM-i declaration information. The car has been pre-sold before, with a total of three configurations, and the pre-sale cost after subsidies is 197,800 to 224,800.

The new car is different from Tang DM’s pursuit of acceleration and four-wheel drive off-road performance. Tang DM-i’s super hybrid system is more inclined to maximize fuel economy, with a total cruising range of 1050km.

The appearance of the Tang DM-i has not changed much compared to the current Tang New Energy. Black decorative strips are integrated on both sides of the front bumper. The ‘Dragon Beard’ is stronger and more powerful than a flagship model.

The interior part also basically continues the design of the current model. The central control area is enhanced with suede material, the metal brushed panel is used, and there is a 12.8-inch rotatable large screen, which is quite high-end.

According to the information, the car will be furnished with a self-developed Snap Cloud-plug-in hybrid turbocharged 1.5Ti high-efficiency engine and EHS electric hybrid system powertrain.

Tang DM-i has two pure electric endurance versions of 52km and 112km. The fuel consumption of the 52km version is as low as 5.3L/100km under power-deficient conditions, and the fuel consumption of the 112km version is as low as 5.5L/100km.

The acceleration per 100km is the only 8.5s. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology declared fuel consumption. It is 1.8L/100km. The reason for this amazing fuel consumption is inseparable from this engine.

The 1.5T high-efficiency engine for the Snap Cloud-Plug-In hybrid uses the Miller cycle working mode with a compression ratio of 12.5:1 and a variable-section turbocharger with a thermal efficiency of up to 40%.

Additionally, Tang DM-i is also equipped with a special blade battery for DM-i super hybrid. The official claims that its combined fuel-electric hybrid cruising range is 1050km.
