Tao Lin, vice president of external affairs at Tesla, said that today that Model Y (January) will start to be delivered this month.
At the beginning of this month, Tesla declared that the Chinese produced medium-sized SUV Model Y and the new Model 3 were officially on sale, and the ‘Sensual ‘ combination of products made its debut in China for the first time.
The Model Y Performance high-performance version and the dual-motor all-wheel-drive version are available in two versions, starting at 339,900 yuan. The starting cost of the upgraded version of the latest Model 3 standard battery life remains unchanged from 249,900 yuan.
Tesla also launched the Model 3 Performance high-performance version, priced at 339,900 yuan.
However, Tesla China’s official website shows that the long-life version of Model Y produced in China is expected to be delivered in the second quarter of this year, and the Performance high-performance version is expected to begin delivery in the third quarter.
In January 2019, the Tesla Super Factory started construction in Shanghai; in January 2020, the Chinese-made Model 3 was officially delivered and exported to Europe in the same year. In January 2021, Tesla brought the Locally produced Model Y.
