Great Wall Motors in partnership with Qualcomm technologies announced that the two companies will cooperate in the field of autonomous driving. Used in the high-end models of Great Wall Motors that are mass-produced each year. Great Wall Motor is the first domestic vehicle manufacturer to adopt Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Ride platform. The expanding partnership between the two parties will help accelerate the commercial implementation of autonomous driving and create a new driving experience that meets future smart travel scenarios.

The Snapdragon Ride platform is one of the most advanced and scalable open autonomous driving solutions in the automotive industry. It is designed to meet the complex needs of different levels of autonomous driving (AD) and an advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) application scenarios.

And energy-efficient hardware, leading AI technology, and pioneering autopilot software stack, bring cost-effective and energy-efficient complete system-level solutions for multi-level models. The Snapdragon Ride platform uses scalable and modular high-performance heterogeneous multi-core CPUs, energy-efficient AI, and computer vision engines, and advanced GPUs to support multiple levels of autonomous driving scenarios and provide leading cooling efficiency.

Great Wall Motor’s new coffee intelligent driving system based on the Snapdragon Ride platform will bring advanced computing performance through its superior computing power and industry-leading energy efficiency. The Great Wall Motor Coffee Smart Driving System can support multiple high-definition cameras and provide users with L2+ level and L3 level smart driving functions with the help of multi-source heterogeneous sensors.

In addition, through the upgrade plan with two standard large computing power platforms, the smart driving platform can reach 700+TOPS computing power, which reserves sufficient hardware capabilities and computing power to achieve L4/L5 level or more complex full-scenario autonomous driving capabilities. Force redundancy.

Xian Lei, Qualcomm’s vice president of sales and business development, said: “Great Wall Motor and Qualcomm Technologies have long-term and in-depth cooperation in multiple technical fields. The Snapdragon Ride platform integrates Qualcomm’s expertise in computing, artificial intelligence, connectivity, and security. We have deep technology accumulation and are designed for strict automotive safety. We are very happy to support Great Wall Motor’s technological innovation through this solution and create the next generation of high-end models for multi-level autonomous driving scenarios.”

Zhang Kai, Head of Intelligent Driving at Great Wall Motors, said: “The explosion of data in the AI era has brought a huge demand for data processing throughput and computing power. Thanks to the powerful computing power and scalability brought by the Snapdragon Ride platform, Great Wall Motors will realize full-featured and multi-scenario coverage from assisted driving to advanced autonomous driving on future models. Through advanced autonomous driving technology, Great Wall Motors will be fully empowered to transform from a car manufacturer to a global technology travel company.”
