A new leak suggests suggests that Qualcomm is developing a new mid range chip based on 5nm EUV process

According to the latest news, Qualcomm is developing two mid-range models, codenamed Yupik and Shima, respectively.

According to the website, “Shima” uses Samsung’s 5nm EUV manufacturing process (5nm LPE), the CPU is 1*A78+ 3* A78+ 4*A55 octa-core configuration, the frequency is 2.70GHz+2.36GHz+1.80GHz, and the GPU is compatible with Snapdragon 888 5G is the same as Adreno 660.

The CPU performance score of this chip is similar to that of Exynos 1080, and it is likely to be the previously rumored Snapdragon 7 series product.

IT Home learned that the now released Snapdragon 888 uses 1 x 2.84GHz (Cortex X1)+3 x 2.4GHz (Cortex A78)+4 x 1.8GHz (Cortex A55), Adreno 660 GPU, and X60 5G modem. Baseband, support WiFi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2.
