OPPO’s recently released SonReno5 series of oversized OPPO Reno 5 Pro+ uses the flagship sensor IMX766 jointly developed withy, with a 1/1.56 inch outsole and a single 1.0μm large pixel.
According to the latest news, to customizing the IMX 766, OPPO also has an outsole CMOS sensor IMX789, but the upcoming OPPO FindX 3 may be difficult to launch.
Exmor is the name of Sony’s technology applied to some of its CMOS image sensors that can realize on-chip analog-to-digital conversion and two-step noise decrease parallel processing of staggered pixels.
Sony launched Exmor R on June 11, 2008, which is also the world’s first mass-produced back-illuminated sensor technology that can help smartphones obtain high-resolution videos or images in low-brightness environments.
Later, Sony introduced the new Exmor RS, a multilayer CMOS sensor with a built-in phase focus point, and a high-speed autofocus capability. For example, our usual IMX 586, etc. belong to the Exmor RS series.
According to the official introduction, Sony’s consumer camera CMOS image sensor has dozens of models, including 4/3 frame to medium format, Type 1/3~1 level, and commercial products from 8MP IMX317 to 150MP IMX411 are available.
