Samsung achieves 305Gbps on its 5G SA Core by using Intel processors

With the continuous transformation of communication networks, a new service-based 5G SA (independent networking) core network is required to achieve enhanced mobile broadband, ultra-reliable low-latency communications, and physical Fully release the full potential of 5G in networking.

In this case, the improvement of the overall performance and throughput of the core network is essential to provide a more immersive 5G experience.

Samsung Electronics and Intel recently announced a major performance breakthrough in the 5G SA core network. Samsung uses the second-generation Intel Xeon Scalable processor and the Intel Ethernet Adapter E810 with enhanced dynamic device personalization (DDP), and its 5G SA core network has a data processing capacity of 305Gbps per server.

The two companies have already verified this performance in a mobile network environment with commercial features enabled.

Samsung and Intel have implemented a simplified system configuration and optimized data packet processing to greatly improve network performance. The realization of 305Gbps per server means that each server can simultaneously carry more than 200,000 users live standard definition Video.
