Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra passed FCC certification, confirmed to support S Pen

Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra has been rumored to support S Pen for a long time. Some time ago, a Samsung executive suggested that this speculation is true. Now Galaxy S21 Ultra has passed FCC certification, confirming that the machine will support S Pen.

The information given by the FCC also indicates that the S Pen of this phone will have a hover function, which is also a feature provided by the Galaxy Note 20 series, allowing users to use S Pen gestures to perform some basic tasks, such as switching songs and browsing files.

According to previous news, since there is no dedicated slot on the phone, the S Pen may be a bit troublesome to carry around, and charging it will be more troublesome. In addition, the FCC has not confirmed that the Galaxy S21 Ultra will be bundled with the S Pen, so it may be a separate sell.

The FCC list also lists other key Galaxy S21 Ultra specifications, such as support for Wi-Fi 6E, UWB (Ultra Wide Band) chip, and reverse wireless charging. It is worth noting that this will be Samsung’s first mobile phone that supports Wi-Fi 6E, which can achieve faster Wi-Fi speeds. Unlike some existing Wi-Fi channels, supporting 6GHz Wi-Fi can avoid signal overlap by providing more bandwidth, thereby achieving better connections. Next year’s iPhone 13 series is also expected to support Wi-Fi 6E.
