Tesla forced to stop construction at its Berlin Gigafactory

As per the latest information, Tesla encountered another obstacle in the process of stepping up the construction of the Berlin super factory.

According to a report, because Tesla missed the deadline for paying a 100 million euro deposit, the environmental protection department of the German state of Brandenburg ordered the company to stop cleaning trees and decorating paint workshops.

Tesla’s lawyers have filed an application on Wednesday to extend the deadline to January 15, saying that Tesla did not have enough time to coordinate payment matters.

The environmental protection department requires Tesla to pay a deposit before January 4, 2021. Before that, Tesla’s logging and renovation work will be suspended.
